Fujisawa Plant

Large-Format Machining Facility for Workpieces up to 2,500 × 4,000 mm

The core machine at the Fujisawa Plant is the OKUMA MCR-A5CII, a five-face machining center. Its high-rigidity structure and versatile head options enable efficient, high-precision machining of complex geometries. The plant is also equipped with a 2.8-ton crane and a 2.5-ton forklift, supporting smooth handling of large workpieces.

Fujisawa Plant’s Equipment List
  • 2.8t Cranes × 2

The plant is equipped with two cranes, enabling efficient handling and setup of large components.

  • Prototypes and Small-Lot Orders

We can handle single-piece and prototype orders, even for large components. From pre-production verification to parts for the development stage, we provide machining that fits each customer’s project phase.

  • Custom Jig Design and Fabrication

For large-part machining, jig design tailored to the workpiece shape and machining process is essential. At the Fujisawa Plant, we apply our experience in large-format machining to design and fabricate custom jigs as part of the production process.

  • 24-Hour Machining Capability

Depending on the project requirements, the Fujisawa Plant can support 24-hour machining operations. By making full use of our equipment capacity, we respond flexibly to short-lead-time projects.

  • Coordination with the Kawasaki Head Office

Working closely with our Kawasaki Head Office / Plant, we can provide integrated support for small and medium-sized parts, as well as welding processes. From individual components to parts for entire machines or systems, you can entrust us with projects of any scale.

Precision Control System
for Large-Format Machining

Even for large components, we place strong emphasis on precision throughout production. We maintain quality by performing checks at each stage of the process.
We also conduct dimensional verification using KEYENCE measuring equipment, while carrying out machining and measurement in a temperature-controlled environment.

  • Stable Machining with High-Rigidity Equipment

Large workpieces are more susceptible to vibration and deflection during machining. With high-rigidity equipment and proper jig design, we minimize displacement during machining and achieve stable finishes.

  • In-Process Measurement and Precision Checks

We perform measurement and verification during machining to identify deviations and errors at an early stage. Process-by-process checks help reduce the risk of rework at the final stage.

  • Pre-Shipment Inspection System

After completion, we conduct final inspections and verify each part against drawing requirements. Our inspection system ensures that products are shipped only after meeting the required accuracy.

Customer Testimonials

  • They proposed a custom jig tailored to the workpiece shape, which gave us confidence in entrusting them with large-part machining.

When requesting machining for a large component, we consulted with them from the jig design stage, based on the shape of the workpiece. By fabricating a dedicated jig, the machining approach became clear, allowing us to move smoothly from prototyping to mass-production review.

    Company A

  • Their 24-hour machining support was a great help.

Although the project had a limited lead time, they supported us with 24-hour machining operations, allowing us to proceed on schedule. Their flexibility in handling large components gives us strong confidence.
